Deluca's Pizza, nestled in the heart of Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, is a standout Southern Italian restaurant and pizza haven that offers an authentic taste of Italy with a local twist. Known for its masterful execution of thin-crust pizzas and a menu brimming with classic Southern Italian flavors, Deluca's invites guests to savor a culinary experience that is both comforting and exciting.
The star attraction here is undoubtedly the pizza—delicately thin yet perfectly charred crusts serve as the ideal canvas for a symphony of fresh, high-quality toppings. Standout specialty pies like The Patsy Searcy Pie, boasting spicy sopressata, Calabrian chili oil, peppadews, and a hint of honey, deliver a bold and complex flavor profile that lingers on the palate. For lovers of savory and spicy combinations, The Benny Briggs Pie with Ezzo pepperoni and Italian sausage offers heartiness in every bite, while The Gooch Pie mixes Calabrese, garlic, peppadews, and peppery arugula for a beautifully balanced and fragrant pizza experience.
Beyond pizza, Deluca's also excels in traditional Southern Italian dishes and appetizers that fuel every craving. The Meatball Appetizer is comfort food at its finest—homemade, tender, and flavored with house-made sauce that customers say elevates every bite. The Bruschetta and Garlic Bread are taste-packed starters that awaken the senses with fresh herbs, ripe tomatoes, and robust garlic. Don’t miss the Anthony Bourdain’s™ Blue Cheese Iceberg Wedge with Bacon salad, a fan favorite that brings a cool, creamy contrast to the bold pizza flavors. For a sweet finish, the Cannoli melts in your mouth, offering a perfect balance of creamy sweetness and light pastry crunch.
The dining atmosphere at Deluca’s evokes a casual, welcoming vibe where families and friends gather to share stories over plates of piping hot pizza. Some guests note the ambiance leans towards the darker side, creating an intimate setting, though it may feel a little dim for those who prefer bright, airy spaces. Nonetheless, the hospitable staff and lively energy more than compensate for this, creating an inviting environment that’s both fun and comfortable. Attentive service, such as that highlighted by customer Matthew Anthony, ensures that every visit feels personalized and warm, enhancing the overall experience.
While Deluca's proudly serves up exceptional pizzas, it’s important to note that options for gluten-free diners are limited, with some reporting disappointment in the lack of variety or thoughtful accommodations. However, for the vast majority of patrons, the menu’s richness and authenticity speak volumes.
Complement your meal with a refreshing beverage from their curated drink selection, featuring everything from the sparkling San Pellegrino water to unique offerings like Dr. Brown’s Black Cherry Soda and Sweeter Than Honey Iced Tea, each providing a crisp counterpoint to their richly flavored dishes.
In summary, Deluca’s Pizza stands out as a must-visit Southern Italian restaurant in Hot Springs National Park for those who appreciate expertly crafted pizzas that marry tradition with inventive toppings, backed by an inviting and hospitable atmosphere. Whether you're biting into the perfectly balanced Sidetown with pepperoni praised for its characterful crust and flavorful cheese or indulging in a plate of homemade meatballs, you are in for a genuine taste of Italy with a local heart.
We had the Sidetown with pepperoni and it was so good. Thin charred crust with delicious cheese and house made sauce. It's very difficult to make a super thin pizza yet have toppings that are tasty and not weight down the slices. This place does it. Worth every penny. My only knock is they don't have ranch to dip the crust in. Other thank that, it's superb and must stop.
It's really really good pizza. If you are in Hot Springs, is definitely worth it to stop by. Why not a 5? As good as it is, I'm not sure the pizza is quite up to the hype. The cook on the pizza was incredible, perfection. The sauce, experienced on both the meatballs and the pizza, was just kinda plain and bland - would have liked a little more flavor, but that's just me and I'm certainly no expert.
Our first time in Hot Springs and this was one of the top restaurants recommended. We were there on a Friday night and the wait was only 30 min! We ordered a Caesar for two and a half Sarah Meadows and half Jamesy Pie and a Cannoli and everything was DELICIOUS! One of the best pizzas we have ever had. The only thing I didn’t like was the atmosphere and decor. It was a little too dark, made it difficult to even read your menu, and it was very loud— hard to hear the waitress or the person sitting in front of you. The photos that lined the walls were headshots of random “attractive” women, which is fine, it just didn’t seem to fit the vibe of everything else and felt out of place. Other than that, no complaints! Food came fast and was great quality. Staff were friendly and quick. A little pricey, but worth it.
This place is ABSOLUTELY worth the visit! Kayla our server was the best example of service for a very long time. The staff are happy to be there and everyone is so hospitable. The food is excellent, as are the drinks. They were great with the kids too. I cannot recommend this place enough. The atmosphere was so fun. Don’t skip this place.
Our table is saying this may be the best pizza they have eaten! From the gluten-free part of the family, very disappointed in the options. Spent $19 for a bag of Lays chips and patty on a plate. Literally, just a plain patty on a plate. No offer for dipping sauce, no questions about it, just here's your patty.
The service was wonderful! I have a food allergy to red meat and they made sure before I even ordered what was prepared separate with no cross contamination. The pizza was delicious with a crispy char that wasn’t burnt with little to no flop of the end. Their speciality drinks are amazing! Over all we had a great experience and will definitely be back!
Food was great. The Caesar salad was on of the better ones I have tasted. Dressing is made in house and you could taste that. The cheesy gnocchi were fantastic and the bread to dip in the remaining sauce was a great touch. It should not go to waste. We had the Dave reviewed pizza and added pepperoni. They crust was fantastic. The cheese was and pepperoni were great too. The only thing I would change is maybe a slightly more great tomato sauce and more basil spread out for my personal preference. We will be making the 5 hour drive again though. Thank you, Deluca’s!
We went last night and arrived close to "kitchen" closing. I hate to be that person that orders at the last minute but, the hostess was so nice, our group felt very welcomed and assured it was not a problem. Our server was great, friendly, attentive and had a fantastic attitude! Pizza has amazing. Top 10 for sure! We got the one with the chili flakes and added Jalepenos. That was heat. If there is one criticism, I would have liked to see a bit more pepperoni for the $5 add-on charge but it's a big perfectly cooked pie. Highly recommend!
